Thank you for visiting the Art Behind Walls Inmate Art Project. The project gives inmates the opportunity to share their voice with the outside world. From behind the walls, forgiveness, empowerment, and self expression through art emerges to communicate to the outside world of the inspiration these inmates provide to us while creating positive change in the outside world.
This will be the future site and location for numerous incarcerated artists work that will be showcased by the inmates themselves to raise money for books, school supplies, and afterschool supplies through the sponsorship of the California Public Education Foundation. The inmates will also be ongoingly creating projects such as the Incarcerated Heroes Coloring Book that will be used directly by educators as educational tools for their students.
The program stands for purpose and freedom for everyone to uplift our communities in the face of challenging circumstances that limit our ability to fulfill on what is possible.
